A very Copilot Christmas! Reflecting back on 2023, and a little M365 Copilot demo! In this video, I close out 2023 by looking back on the year of tech innovation coming out of Microsoft. This was mainly Copilot related, and as I've now got access to a Copilot environment, I thought I'd take it for a test drive and share the results.

• 2022: Microsoft starts developing Copilot, a generative AI chatbot based on a massive language model.
• February 2023: Copilot is released as Bing Chat, an integrated feature for Microsoft Bing and Microsoft Edge.
• September 2023: Microsoft starts unifying the Copilot brand across its various chatbot products.
• November 2023: Copilot becomes widely available for enterprise customers in Microsoft 365.

Copilot for Microsoft 365 is an extension of Microsoft 365 that combines the power of large language models with your company's data, transforming your words into one of the world's most powerful productivity tools. It works with popular Microsoft 365 apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and more.

• Provides intelligent, real-time assistance enabling users to enhance their creativity, productivity, and skills.
• Can be used to write, translate and format text, create and edit spreadsheets, generate presentations, compose emails, and messages, as well as to solve problems and answer questions.

Copilot Studio is a platform for developing Copilots, allowing users to create and customize their own AI chatbots. It offers a range of features including generative AI, complex dialogue creation, plugin capabilities, process automation, and integrated analytics.

Looking ahead, Microsoft plans to add more features and enhancements to Copilot, including improved support for additional languages, integration with more Microsoft products and services, and new customization options for Copilots. Although it's still early days, Copilot promises to be a game-changing technology that could fundamentally alter how we interact with computers.

Understanding Microsoft Copilot
