Microsoft introduced a new feature in Power BI that can suggest DAX formulas for you. You can ask for the DAX measure you need in natural language and artificial intelligence will write the DAX code for you.
The AI used is OpenAI GPT-3. It’s one of the first AI integrations of GPT-3 in the Microsoft applications. In this video we’ll see how well this works. It’s also important to test your DAX measures and also some scenarios you need to be aware of. So you’ll have to currently “correct” the automatic DAX measures that are written for you.
DAX stands for Data Analysis Expressions and is a powerful language used to manipulate data within Power BI. It allows users to create calculated measures that can be used in charts or tables, perform complex analysis on large datasets, and more. Despite its power and flexibility, it requires training and knowledge to use effectively - something that AI could potentially replace if certain advancements are made.
