For instance, a notification can have various actions, each potentially having different action types. Open types allow dynamic properties for these actions depending on the selected action types. It provides APIs for interacting with data, metadata, and other system services. These APIs can be used to perform a variety of tasks, such as creating, reading, updating, and deleting (CRUD) data, querying data using various techniques, managing metadata, and much more.</p><p>The Dataverse SDK for .NET is designed to work with .NET, a popular development framework by Microsoft, allowing developers to write applications in languages such as C# and VB.NET. As such, it provides a convenient and efficient way to interact with Dataverse from within .NET applications.&#160;</p><p>As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, the preferred tool for building applications that connect to Microsoft Dataverse was the Microsoft Power Platform, which includes Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents. Developers were encouraged to use the Web API to perform operations on Dataverse, which provides a more modern and web-friendly way to interact with Dataverse data compared to older technologies like the Organization service.&#160;</p><p>However, the .NET SDK continued to be used for certain scenarios where the Web API may not have been the best choice, for example, when building complex business logic that needs to run directly on the server-side.
