In one of my previous articles I explained the steps to fetch the Environment ID in Power Automate flows. In this article, lets see how to leverage Canvas Apps

In a previous post, the author explained how to achieve this in Power Automate flows but this article focuses on Canvas Apps. Canvas App can be used to fetch the Environment ID in Power Platform. An Environment in Power Platform is a space to store, manage, and share the organization's business data, apps, chatbots, and flows. Every Environment will have a unique identifier associated with it. In order to fetch the Environment ID in Canvas App, certain steps need to be followed. Firstly, the Context Variable needs to be retrieved from the Canvas App. Then, the Environment ID should be retrieved from the Context Variable. Finally, the Environment ID can be used as a part of a Data source in the Canvas App. By following these steps, the Environment ID can be successfully retrieved without the need of Power Automate flows.
